The GolfSixes League Uganda is an exciting and modern initiative designed to introduce junior players to the game of golf in a fun, friendly, and inclusive environment. The program offers young golfers an engaging on-course experience early in their development, helping them learn the game in a supportive and enjoyable way.

About GolfSixes League

Created in 2017, the GolfSixes League has grown into an internationally recognized format for junior golf development. The league focuses on:Team-Based Play, Fun and Inclusion, Beginner-Friendly Competition, Skill Growth Through Experience, By using a format suited for new and developing players, the league encourages participation and removes the pressure often associated with traditional golf competitions.

Playing Format

Each GolfSixes League event features

  • Teams of 6 junior players
  • Six-hole matches
  • Pairs competing in the Texas Scramble format

Each GolfSixes League event features

  • Non-handicap players
  • Players with a handicap of 37 and above
This ensures every participant is involved, supported, and able to contribute to their team’s success regardless of experience level.

2025 League Schedule

The GolfSixes League Uganda officially kicked off in September, beginning with a series of pilot events designed to introduce the format to clubs, juniors, and parents. Qualifying Events will be held at: • Mbarara Golf Club
• Kilembe Mines Golf Club
• Masindi / Kinyara Golf Club
The season will culminate in the Grand Finale hosted at: • Toro Golf Club, Fort Portal
21st December This final event will bring together the top-performing teams from across Uganda for an exciting celebration of junior golf.
