Uganda's young golfers are set to benefit from a major technology boost following a new partnership between Italian GPS company Pin Vision and AFRIYEA Golf Academy. The two organizations have signed a one-year agreement, with an option for extension, aimed at strengthening youth training and expanding access to modern golf technology across the country.
Pin Vision, a leading manufacturer of GPS rangefinders and golf technology solutions, will provide the academy with state-of-the-art equipment to enhance training programs. The partnership will give students access to professional-grade GPS devices that measure distances, analyze course layouts, and track performance metrics.
"Technology is transforming the way golf is taught and played around the world," said Isaiah Mwesige. "This partnership with Pin Vision ensures that our students are not left behind. They will have access to the same tools used by professional golfers globally."
The agreement includes the donation of 20 Pin Vision GPS units, training for academy coaches on how to integrate technology into their teaching methods, and ongoing technical support. Pin Vision will also sponsor selected tournaments organized by the academy.

The partnership is expected to particularly benefit the academy's advanced students, who will use the GPS technology to analyze course strategy, club selection, and shot planning. This practical experience will be invaluable for those aspiring to compete at national and international levels.
