Held at the picturesque Uganda Golf Club Kintante, Rugumayo’s exceptional performance over the course of three days left spectators awestruck.
With scores of 67, 69, 71, and 72, totaling 280 gross, Rugumayo dominated the leaderboard during the initial days of the championship. His flawless technique and strategic approach positioned him as a strong contender for the coveted title. However, his efforts fell just short of the ultimate victory, as he faced tough competition from an opponent who proved to be unstoppable.
The eventual title winner Dismas Indiza delivered an outstanding performance, carding scores of 72, 67, 71, and 67, totaling 277. The closely contested battle kept fans on the edge of their seats as the two contenders vied for the top spot.
It is worth mentioning that Rugumayo was not the only representative from the Toro Club to leave a mark on the tournament. David Kamulindwa and Adolf Muhumuza, both hailing from the same club, displayed impressive skills, finishing in the 7th and 12th positions, respectively. Kamulindwa concluded the championship with a commendable score of -5, while Muhumuza maintained a steady level throughout the tournament.
